We hear so much about the importance of economic growth — I use it all the time in my work - but even with zero economics background, I've always questioned the wisdom of chasing infinite growth on a finite planet.

We’re now seeing rising GDP alongside stagnating wellbeing, worsening inequality and a planet in crisis.

The paper sets out an alternative. It doesn’t offer easy answers, but it does show what’s possible when we stop chasing growth for its own sake and start building economies that deliver health, dignity and security within planetary limits.
